Hey, I’m Aude
Since the early stages of my studies, I embarked on a diverse journey. I explored various domains and collaborated with experts while volunteering for a range of projects.
From third-places to fablabs, from aquaponics to research in Indonesia on the design of an innovative place, I have explored various fields. I have worked with engineers, designers, and creators, I have been involved in the open source community, as well as the corporate and educational worlds.
This diverse path and the encounters I have had along the way have greatly influenced my current work focus. I enjoy taking a macro-view on events and subjects, and my brain is highly engaged when I can delve into a topic and create connections between different subjects, people, and ideas.
Out of all these experiences, my passion lies in designing solutions, spaces, and communities that address the needs and challenges of our planet today and in the future. I firmly believe that my mission is to bridge disciplines and people and envision resilient, welcoming, and life-centered futures.
My name is Aude Omerin. I am a designer, researcher, facilitator, and connector. But above all, I am an explorer.
tools, methodologies, skills
UX research w/ ethnographic practices
Two years ago, I embarked on a journey to learn research tools that anthropologists have been using since centuries to have a better understanding on humans and what happen on the field.
Design Sprint
I am a certified design sprint master. I use facilitation and design to help create and test solutions on a fast way.
Design Thinking
Design Thinking is a way designers are thinking. It is a powerful vision and way to challenge the status quo on any projects in any kind of fields.
Facilitation
I have been facilitating workshops for the last 4 years, enabling people to go beyond simple meetings and have fun!
Gender Equality
I co-designed an installation that helped the Sorbonne users (students, researchers, teachers) to understand social constructions, gender discriminations and their implications. learn more here.
Teaching
From 2020 till 2022 I have been teaching for +500students about design thinking and ux design in higher educations schools in Paris, Lyon and Barcelona.
Foresight and futures studies methods
Since 2021, I started to get curious about design fiction and methodologies to anticipate futures. In 2022 I followed the introduction about speculative design tools by the School of Critical Design. And in 2024, I’ll be around Europe to meet with futurists and learning more about future studies!
Resilient and Regenerative Futures
In 2024 I started reading about regenerative systems. As I strongly believe that systemic design is necessary for all project, regenerative approaches gave a new sense. Especially with thinking about Regenerative cultures and shifts towards it.
